Job brief
The Regional IT Support handles a wide range of tasks that relate to computer support, Wi-Fi and networking support, Audio and Visual support, Troubleshoot problems, and translating this to feasible solutions. This role requires travelling to sites across the region to perform adequate functions at each Workshop17 site.

General scope of work:
Incident and Task Management
Logging incidents and tasks on the support system.
Managing and updating support tickets.
Governance and Security
Ensure all software installed on machines is compliant with the license agreements.
Audit Findings should be addressed and corrective measures are taken.
Understand and Apply established cyber security principles.
Reporting
Produce weekly and monthly incident reports for all IT tasks.
Asset management
All Assets should be kept up to date on the asset register, and should be checked on a bi-weekly basis and reported to the ICT Manager.
Assets to be noted and kept track of and reported regularly.
Environment management
Completing daily checklists
Ensuring storerooms are neat and tidy, and equipment and cables are stored correctly.
CCTV camera footage is positioned correctly, recording and stored correctly.
Location screens and tablets in working order.
AV equipment is well maintained.
Ensuring eventing venues and boardroom AV equipment is set up neatly and up to standard.
Initiatives
Propose new solutions to streamline the workload.
Improve the job function by simplifying the objectives.
Travel between sites and splitting time between locations
Software Maintenance
Keeping all antivirus software should be up to date and installed with the latest definitions.
Maintaining software.
User Accounts
Onboarding and offboarding staff
Return of assets
Setting up new devices and regular audits thereof.
Training new and existing staff
Ideal Qualifications/Experience
NQF4
1-2 Years of experience as an IT Technician.
Own reliable vehicle.
Networking, Hardware and audiovisual experience are essential.
Microsoft Windows Operating System, MAC OSX, Android, IOS, Intermediate understanding of networking, DHCP, IP. Ping, Traceroute, and network diagnostics.
Understanding of troubleshooting principles.
