Job brief

As the location team's right hand person, you will be responsible to help, plan and manage five-star service and events. You’ll grasp the in’s and out’s of every event, from; event brief, W17 community procedures,  to understanding the members needs, wants and everything in between! Ensuring successful events, and happier members. You own customer service,  with your friendly, problem-solving, can-do attitude. Team-player, tick that box, you’re energetic and ready to roll up your sleeves to get the job done.


General scope of work /  Eventing & Community Assistance

  • Pre-event - setting up the space in line with client expectations and running order.

  • Event - Providing 5 star service excellence during all events and meetings booked.

  • Post-event - Ensuring that the space is neat and tidy and ready for the next event

Relationships

  • Maintain good working relationships with your colleagues.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with service providers, event clients and members.

Client Interaction

  • Client feedback on service delivered during events.

  • Always be available to assist clients and your team proactively, and communicate and provide feedback throughout the day.

  • Polite, helpful and friendly

Facilities and Maintenance

  • Space walkthroughs - proactively identifying concern points and escalating to your manager.

  • Assist with HVAC concerns.

  • AV / IT checks daily.

  • Stock control.

Stock control

  • Maintenance of crockery & cutlery: eg teaspoons, plates, saucers etc

  • Capturing and ordering stock on a weekly basis

  • Supervision of stock area and equipment

Client interaction

  • Polite, helpful and friendly

  • Always be available for the client

  • Communication throughout the day with the client for any changes

Team player / support

General support to the location team and assisting all departments when necessary.

Ideal Qualifications/Experience

  • NQF4

  • Excellent communication skills - verbal and written.

  • 1 year experience in the hospitality or customer service industry

  • Tech savvy

  • Team player

  • Organized

  • Can-do attitude

  • Dedicated, reliable

  • Ability to engage with customers and build relationships
